Employee Performance Development Plan
In cases of inadequate employee performance, this plan details when and what actions are to be undertaken and when performance will be reviewed again.
Employee Performance Feedback
Observation of employee performance toward preferred business results against performance standards for the business unit.
Employee Performance Gap
The difference in employee performance observed compared against the desired standard of performance for a business unit. This is typically described in terms of knowledge, skills or behaviors that the employee may develop with training, coursework or mentoring.
Employee Performance Management Plan
A document that details the preferred goals and results of a business unit for all employees in terms of work performance. The plan can include how results will be measured, how goals are defined, and which metrics are used to analyze results.
Employee Performance Review
A document appraising an employee's work performance during a specified period of time, which includes goals, work activities, work objectives and whether performance standards were met (or exceeded) in terms of other employees on the team. The performance review typically includes a performance development plan to address inadequate performance.
Employee Performance Rewards
The employee performance review process typically includes some sort of employee incentives for meeting and exceeding performance goals and standards, such as merit salary increases, cash bonuses, increase in employee level (promotion), etc.
Employee Performance Stack
Weighting the performance of each employee in a department against one another results in an employee stack ranking, with the best employee in terms of performance #1 in the stack and setting the bar for all others.
